Andy and Kaye Weaber both grew up raising and showing purebred cattle and market steers, though 1500 miles apart, Kaye in Maine and Andy in Colorado, they both have similar philosophies for production and exhibition: Breed cattle with a purpose in mind that can function, and show cattle that represent your breeding program.
Upon graduating from Colorado State University Andy went to work for Sugar Loaf Farm Angus in Staunton, VA. While at Sugar Loaf Andy had the opportunity to work with one of the top Angus herds in Virginia at a state of the art facility with first class manager, Jeff Kaufman. Kaye was employed by the Virginia Angus Association as their Executive Director, at VAA Kaye was responsible for managing over 20 Purebred and Commercial sales a year, in addition she consulted over 600 Angus breeders on an annual basis.
In 2002, a job came open at Aldermere Farm in Rockport, Maine, where Andy and Kaye could work together on the management team. Aldermere is one of the leading Belted Galloway breeders in th country, they have been producing elite genetics for over 50 years. Andy oversaw the cow herd and Kaye worked with the show cattle and marketing. Each were extremely active in the Aldermere Achievers 4H club.
In September 2004 Weaber Livestock was launched when we started exhibiting Belted Galloways and Mt. Mica Farm's Angus at Regional shows and National Show. In the short period since then we have developed into a full service consulting, custom fitting and graphic design business. Our goal is to provide honest, first class service to producers who desire only the very best.
